Miniature Opera Glasses with views of Famous Parisian Monument "Les Invalides"
Lord Charles Stanhopes developed in the 18th century a tiny magnifying lens; its invention is that the object to be magnified must be touching the rear surface of the lens. Inside you can see two views of the Invalides.
The hotel des Invalides is a Parisian monument, located in the 7th arrondissement, whose construction was ordered by Louis XIV by the royal edict of 24 February 1670. It is there that we find the tomb of Napoleon I. The Dome also houses the mausoleum of Vauban, the tombs of Napoleon II known as the Aiglon, Joseph and Jérôme Bonaparte and other illustrious generals.
