Miniature Early Wooden Sewing Table and Chair - Biedermeier / Boulle

This miniature sewing table or work table has mahogany finish with gold transfer work, lyre shaped legs, original padded velvet foot rest on the cross stretcher. Beautiful shape top table.

The top opens to reveal a mirror and small compartments well-fitted with original sewing utensils: thread, scissors, needle holder, thimble, hook, pocket knife, a wool or silk winder that fits into a hole in the center and more. Original green paper and red velvet in the middle, gilt Dresden paper edging.

Beautiful chair with gold transfer work, silk upholstery, Dresden paper edging.

Chair is 3 3/4"(9.5 cm) high - sewing table 3 "(7.5 cm) high - 3 3/8"(8.5 cm) wide - 2 3/4"(7 cm) deep.

Germany - Circa 1875.

Very good condition, no break on original mirror but wear at mirror's tint. Note a repair to back feet of the sewing table (see pictures).
