Such furnishing was presented in the 1850-1860 sample book of the Nuremberg Roth and Rau company. Very nice woodwork of the Biedermeier era. Very elegant chair legs and back.
Of pale varnished wood and simulated ebony bands, this so charming set comprises 11 elements: four chairs, one sofa with rare footrest, two chests of drawers, one square table with four delicate feet, one round table with pedestal (repair on foot), one mirrored frame. Original purple velvet upholstery and green trim edging.
The sofa is 5 1/2"(14 cm) wide and the chairs are 3 1/4"(8.2 cm) high. The square table is 2 5/8"(6.8 cm) high. The round table is 2 3/8"(6 cm) high and 3 1/8"(8 cm) in diameter.
