Rare French Bare Feet All-Bisque Mignonette with Jointed Elbows in Original Costume
This lovely doll attributed to Sustrac has the particularity to have ball-jointed elbows.
All-bisque mignonette with pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged slender bisque torso, blue glass enamel inset eyes, delicately-painted features and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, wooden ball-joints at elbows, cut pate with original mohair wig (worn), peg jointed at shoulders and hips, bare feet.
Original silk and lace dress with tiny ribbons, muslin undergarments.
Marked BTE on torso.
5 1/8"(13 cm) tall.
Excellent condition for the doll.

The Sustrac patent, specific to miniature dolls, was filed on February 7, 1877. Schmitt et Fils filed a similar patent on April 30, 1879 for taller dolls.
